Privacy notice

This notice explains what we collect through this website and what we do with it. It is written for the site as it currently stands and will be updated as services are added.

What we collect

What you submit through the enquiry form: company name, your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, pallet type and size, quantity, whether you need supply or collection, destination, required date, recurrence and any cargo handling notes.

Alongside that, a small amount of technical information is recorded so the form works correctly and can be supported: the page the enquiry was sent from, the page you first arrived on, the referring website address if your browser sends one, any campaign tags in the link you followed, the wording of the consent text shown to you, a submission reference, a technical key that prevents the same enquiry being saved twice, and the status of the internal email alert for that enquiry. We do not store your IP address or browser fingerprint with the enquiry, and we do not build a profile from this information.

Why we hold it

To assess and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of what was asked and answered. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you have chosen to send.

Where it is stored and who can see it

This website is hosted by Lovable, and enquiries are saved in the managed database provided through Lovable Cloud. The website cannot read, edit or list enquiries — there is no public or browser-accessible view of submitted data, and there is no public admin area. Access is limited to the trusted server-side process that saves the enquiry and to authorised people within the business.

Onward notification

Your enquiry is saved to the database before an email notification is attempted. It is then sent as an internal email alert to authorised Palletmove Limited staff, using our email delivery provider (Resend) and our own mail infrastructure. Nothing is published, shared with advertisers or sold, and no enquiry data is used for marketing profiling.

The status of each alert is recorded against the enquiry. Where the sending service does not confirm a message, the saved enquiry record remains in the database. Handover to any customer relationship management (CRM) system is not configured, so no enquiry is passed to one.

Analytics and cookies

No analytics provider is active on this site. If one is added it will remain consent-gated and off unless you accept, and no personal data from the enquiry form will be passed to it. See the cookie notice.

Retention

For enquiries that do not become orders, our policy is to review the enquiry 12 months after the last meaningful contact and delete personal information that is no longer needed. This applies to the website enquiry record and enquiry emails held by us. If we need to retain information longer for an ongoing matter, a legal obligation or a dispute, we record the reason and a further review date. Records relating to orders, invoices and other accounting or legal matters are retained separately for the applicable business and legal requirements. Retention reviews and deletion are handled manually; this website does not automatically delete enquiries.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in UK data protection law, you can ask for access to the information we hold about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, ask for erasure or for processing to be restricted, and where portability applies, ask for a copy in a portable form. Your separate right to object is set out below. Some of these rights are qualified: for example we may need to keep records for legal, accounting or dispute purposes, so deletion cannot be promised unconditionally. Contact us through the enquiry form or at alex@palletmove.co.uk, and quote your reference if you have one.

Your right to object

You have a separate right to object to our processing of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests, and an absolute right to object to direct marketing. If you object, we will stop processing your information for that purpose unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights, or we need to keep the information to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. To object, contact us through the enquiry form or email alex@palletmove.co.uk. You do not need to give a reason for objecting to direct marketing.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
