Used wooden pallets

Used pallets are the working currency of UK domestic distribution. The important question is never simply 'used' — it is which grade, how consistent, and what the pallet is being asked to do.

Grading language varies across the industry, so we describe condition in practical terms: deck coverage, whether boards have been replaced, whether blocks or bearers are sound, and how uniform a batch will be. A pallet that is entirely serviceable for a short internal move may not be appropriate for a multi-leg trunking run through a pallet network.

Repairs matter for cross-border movements. Where wooden packaging has been repaired or remanufactured, ISPM 15 sets out how treatment and marking are handled — a repaired pallet is not automatically covered by an existing mark. If your used pallets are leaving the customs territory, that is a point to check before loading rather than at the border.

Used pallets are also a supply route in the other direction. If you accumulate surplus pallets, we take collection enquiries and assess them on volume, size mix, condition and access.

• Domestic distribution and internal site movements
• Pallet network trunking where a serviceable graded base is sufficient
• One-way domestic deliveries where pallets are not returned
• Buffer stock alongside a new pallet specification
