Presswood pallets
Presswood pallets are moulded from wood fibre under heat and pressure. They nest, they are light, and they are widely used for one-way export where weight and storage volume both cost money.
Request a quote for presswood palletsThe nesting geometry is the main practical advantage: a stack of presswood pallets takes a fraction of the space of the equivalent stack of timber, which matters where empty pallet storage is scarce — typically on constrained airport-adjacent sites and in city-fringe warehousing.
Because the material is processed wood fibre rather than solid timber, presswood is commonly treated as falling outside the ISPM 15 wood packaging requirement. That is a determination that depends on the material and the receiving authority, so it must be confirmed for your route rather than assumed from a website. Our ISPM 15 guide sets out where to check.
Presswood suits lighter loads and one-way trips. It is not a substitute for a heavy-duty timber or plastic base, and we will say so if the described load does not suit it.
Typically suited to
- One-way export where empty return is not planned
- Air freight consignments where chargeable weight matters
- Sites with very limited empty pallet storage space
- Lighter, evenly distributed loads
What to tell us in an enquiry
- Approximate load weight and how it sits on the base
- Destination and route, so the material question can be checked
- Quantity, footprint and delivery frequency
Availability, specification and grading are confirmed on assessment of your requirement. We do not publish stock levels, load ratings or prices on this site.
