Plastic pallets
Plastic pallets are chosen for washability, consistency and repeat-cycle durability — and, for cross-border movements, because they sit outside the wooden packaging treatment rules entirely.
Request a quote for plastic palletsIn food, pharmaceutical and some electronics environments, the ability to wash a pallet and the absence of loose timber or protruding nails is the deciding factor. In closed-loop operations where pallets return, the higher initial cost is spread over many more trips than a one-way timber base would take.
For international movements, plastic is not wood packaging material, so ISPM 15 heat treatment and marking do not apply to it. That does not remove other obligations — packaging waste and reuse rules still apply to the packaging you place on a market, and those are being reshaped in the EU. Our guides set out where to check rather than making a compliance claim for you.
Specification varies widely between nestable display pallets and heavy-duty racking-rated designs. We do not publish load ratings; the intended handling, racking and stacking pattern is discussed as part of the enquiry.

- Food, beverage and pharmaceutical handling with wash-down requirements
- Closed-loop operations where pallets return to the same sites
- Automated handling where dimensional consistency is critical
- Movements where avoiding wood packaging paperwork is the objective
What to tell us in an enquiry
- Whether pallets return to you, and how many cycles you expect
- Handling method — manual, powered truck, conveyor or racking
